I create a safe therapeutic working environment for clients to openly explore their difficulties at their own pace. I use an integrative approach that is asset based and incorporates PC, BSFT, CBT, TA and Gestalt Therapy and emotional literacy principles. My practice adopts an holistic empathic approach to counselling and therapeutic work to empower clients to develop emotional resilience and self-awareness to enable positive decision making that enhances their own health and well being.
As a supervisor I offer a safe therapeutic space to explore transference, counter-transference, ethical dilemmas, professional boundaries and legal issues that may arise when working with clients. I act as a resource to supervisees by sharing my counselling skills, theoretical knowledge and experience of working in organisations with different cultures and practices. I will challenge poor practice to give the supervisee the opportunity to expand their skills and increase the safety of their practice. I can support a wide range of issues and guide clients in their journey to find an acceptable outcome.
