About me and my therapy practice

I offer a calm space where together we can explore your difficulties. Resolving them seems to happen on two levels: a rational verbal level and a more feeling non-verbal one. The process is unique to each person, but generally I ask you simple questions to help you deepen your understanding of yourself. This enables you to recognise what you genuinely value and want from your life, and to see new options that are open to you. I specialise in working with mothers, and parent couples, though not all my clients are parents. I am the author of two books, What Mothers Do - especially when it looks like nothing (2004) and How Mothers Love - and how relationships are born (2011). I see clients in a quiet room in my home, seven minutes from Alexandra Palace Station with an easy connection to the Victoria Line.
