About me and my therapy practice

If you're looking for someone to talk to in confidence, you've come to the right place. I provide a calm and reflective space where you can speak freely about whatever is troubling you. As a counsellor you will find me thoughtful, empathic and committed to my relationship with you. I have enabled many people to gain a clearer understanding of themselves, come to terms with difficult life events and find new ways forward. I am an experienced MBACP Accredited Counsellor and co-owner of Sheffield Central Counselling, an accessible, professional and confidential counselling service based in Sheffield City Centre. My approach to counselling is integrative which means that I draw on various different models including Gestalt, person-centred and cognitive-behavioural approaches, depending on your particular situation and what seems to work best for you. I have helped many people to overcome a range of difficulties including, anxiety, stress, bereavement, depression and relationship issues. I have a particular interest in couples counselling and enjoy helping couples to feel happier with their relationship, for example by improving intimacy, rebuilding trust after an affair or developing new ways to communicate. As a Christian, I see every person as unique and valuable. I am always open to discussing issues around faith, religion and spirituality as part of the counselling process, whether you share my faith or are coming from a different perspective.
