About me and my therapy practice

I hold a professional qualification in psychodynamic counselling with adults. I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework.  Alongside my private practice in Finchley, I currently work as an Honorary Psychotherapist within the Central and North West London NHS Trust. For the past four years I have also worked as an Honorary Counsellor for Raphael Counselling Service. Life can feel like huge waves in the ocean sometimes, where usually you manage to swim and get by. However, at times, things become overwhelming. You may have tried to manage yourself for a while and now long to talk to someone who won't judge you and who will really listen. I am trained to actively listen to you in a safe and confidential space and enable you to gain more insight and understanding into the difficulties you are facing. After we both agree to work together we will meet a minimum of once a week on the same day and time. There's no time limit to our work together, this is a very individual decision. I offer both short and long term counselling. The process and working through thoughts and feelings can feel difficult some weeks. However, it also has a supporting and empowering effect, enabling you to regain some sense of control in your life. Of course some painful life occurrences cannot actually be changed. However, giving them a place and meaning in your life can help you find the inner peace you long for.
