Where can I access therapy?
Therapy may be available from a range of places, including:
- GP surgeries
- places of work
- schools
- universities and colleges
- some voluntary and charitable organisations.
Private therapists may be found in Seeking a therapist. Please note most of these will charge for their services.
How is therapy delivered?
Traditionally, therapy is delivered to individuals or groups in a face-to-face setting. However, individuals can also receive therapy over the telephone or online via e-mail or ‘live’ discussion.
Can I always choose what therapist I want to see?
No. This is only possible if you wish to see a therapist privately. If you are seeing a therapist in an organisation, it is likely that one will be allocated to you.
