About me and my therapy practice

I am a Registered Member MBACP (Accredited). I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am also trained in DIT (Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy), a semi-structured therapy approach consisting in 16 sessions. The main focus of my work is to provide an empathic, non-judgemental and containing space to allow my clients to feel safe to share their personal experiences, feelings and struggles. My approach is based on the belief that clients need a space where they can be heard and helped to identify their personal skills and resources, in order to feel empowered in their daily life.

Working psychodynamically means that you will be able to explore current and past relationships, experiences and feelings, in a safe and containing environment. In this way we will allow unconscious material, memories and traumas, to emerge in a setting where they can be processed. Therapy is an opportunity to speak about painful experiences and feelings, to make a sense of them and be able to look at them in a different light.

I offer long term, open-ended, and short term therapy. I have extensive experience working with mental health, including working in a prison and in a mental health charity. In these settings I have worked with a wide range of issues, including severe depression, anxiety, and personality disorder. For the past few years I have been in private practice and working with One Therapy London.

I offer therapy to clients experiencing different mental health issues, including addictions and adults who grew up with parents with addiction issues. And also to clients who have experienced abuse and who present with complex trauma and dissociation.

Practice description

I work face-to-face from all my practices, but I also offer online and telephone sessions if needed.

My practices are in Bournemouth and Poole, on different days of the week. I am also working in Central London (Oxford Circus), with One Therapy London.

Fees start from £60 depending on location. Please do contact me for more information.

Concessionary rates are available for trainee counsellors.

I am a registered practitioner for AXA PPP Health, Aviva and Bupa.
