About me and my therapy practice

Hello and thank you for visiting my page. I am a qualified Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a deep-rooted passion and desire to help others lead a happy and fulfilled life, I believe we all deserve that. I have extensive experience in treating a wide range of conditions including Anxiety; Depression; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Eating Disorders and Bereavement. I also have experience supporting people to develop and strengthen their social skills such as, self-esteem, confidence and assertiveness which can often lead to new opportunities and life choices. During my time as a therapist, I have worked with both individuals and Groups and supported them through the therapeutic process. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than helping to facilitate the progress of an individual and watching them rise and flourish from what can sometimes be a very dark place. My overall ethos is to promote better mental health for all, this will involve a process of change and growth through the use of evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs.

Practice description

I provide a safe and secure space for you to explore your difficulties, any challenges that you may face or have faced in your past. You will hopefully finish therapy equipped with the tools to help you lead the life you want and deserve.

Our sessions together will last 50 minutes. Initially we will focus on getting to know one another and explore what you hope to achieve from therapy, we will then collaboratively devise a plan to facilitate these goals.

In our lives we often focus on supporting others, making sure everyone else is OK and we can sometimes neglect ourselves and our own wellbeing. Therapy is about you and your journey, a space to reflect and think about what you want from life.

As with all therapists, I engage in monthly supervision to help strengthen and regulate my practice. I am fully insured to practice, and all qualifications, insurances and certificates are available to view upon request.

If you have any queries regarding Counselling or CBT, please don't hesitate to contact me.
