About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Sam, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. As a person-centred psychotherapist, I provide a safe and confidential space where we can work through what you're dealing with. I work with young people and adults (14+) in order to help them grow and work towards a happier life. I really pride myself on my ability to build and maintain healthy and positive client relationships, as I believe this is a key element of therapeutic progress.

I have a great deal of experience working in schools with young people, with a wide range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, trauma, identity and sexuality related issues. With vast experience in working with adults, I am able to work confidently with the issues listed below on my profile.

I hope to hear from you soon, please feel free to get in touch with any questions.

Practice description

Person-centred therapy focuses on providing empathy, honesty and non-judgement to clients, allowing for genuine exploration and discussion of issues both past and present. This is centred around the belief that, when provided with these conditions, we are best able to guide ourselves towards the best solutions for us.

At the beginning of our work, we will look at how things are now and how you would like them to change. We will discuss together how we might work towards these changes and also explore different options such as time-limited or longer-term ways of working. The person-centred approach really allows for us to work in a collaborative way, making sure that you are heard in the therapeutic process and that we tailor therapy to your needs.

My first session

I offer a free of charge 15/20 minute consultation for adults (16+), and a 20/30 minute consultation for parents and those 14+. If you are a parent seeking help for a young person, please feel free to reach out, I offer to work in a collaborative way with parents to ensure they feel supported while their child is engaged in therapy.
