Practice description
Life can be really tough. Sometimes we just need some support.
I offer a safe and confidential space for you to speak about anything that may be on your mind. Whether its from your past history or the present, sometimes the way we view ourselves may be holding us back. We may feel overwhelmed, have lost sight of what we value, or perhaps we are finding it hard to see meaning in the life we live. We can work together to help you to gain clarity and self-awareness. I work with your strengths and use empathy, kindness, and non-judgment to empower you. But most essentially, I offer you a space to feel heard.
I believe that everybody is an individual, so I work in an Integrative way. This means I take a holistic view of whatever pressing issues are presented in our sessions and incorporate different therapeutic approaches and interventions to tailor best to you.
I also work with adult students in Further Education and Higher Education, who may be facing exam stress, relationship issues, homesickness, procrastination, debt, problem gambling, substance misuse, and adapting to student life with long-term illness or disability.
Allow yourself the opportunity to identify that you are valued. You have purpose, you matter, you are seen and you are heard.
My first session
I typically offer a complimentary 20 min telephone/video consultation. This is where we would briefly discuss the issues bringing you to counselling, and give you some insight on my therapeutic approach.
It is important for you to feel comfortable and at ease, and this consultation will give you the opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
If you are happy to do so, we would then book you in for your 1st session when you are ready. These take place online via zoom and last for 60mins.
The frequency and time of sessions can be tailored to your needs and preferences.
