About me and my therapy practice
My name is Felicity (also known by many as Fliss). I am a qualified counsellor/therapist. I see clients in Putney right next to East Putney Station, at Therapy Spaces Putney.
As a trained therapist, I can support you to better understand yourself and your relationships better and to see things from a new perspective. I work with people facing a range of challenges including feeling low or anxious, a loss of identity or sense of self, low self-esteem, and relationship issues.
I am someone you can talk to privately about whatever is on your mind and feel heard. I listen with empathy and without judgement, with the aim of supporting you to find resolutions or make changes that you feel a right for you.
Practice description
I trained at the Metanoia Institute, one of Europe’s leading psychotherapy and counselling schools. My degree was focused on Humanistic counselling, including the following approaches: Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis.
Whilst I believe that looking at the past can help us understand more about who we are today, working Humanistically means that much of my work with clients is focused on the ‘here and now’. I also believe that you, the client are the expert on yourself and I therefore aim to support you to come to solutions and ways of living that feel right for you.
Working this way, I aim to provide an environment in which you can start to understand what drives you and what holds you back, so that you can live in a way you find meaningful and fulfilling.
My first session
I offer a free initial 15-30 minute phone or video call during which you can tell me what's going on for you, and what you hope to gain from therapy - and I can explain to you a bit about how I work. This enables us to understand if we could work together, and following this, we can look to book in a first therapy session, either online or in person.
Types of therapy
Gestalt, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Transactional analysis
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Young people
How I deliver therapy
Long-term face-to-face work, Online therapy, Short-term face-to-face work
