I am a qualified counselling therapist offering individual online sessions in London.
Sessions are 50 minutes, once a week online via Zoom. The fee per session is £55.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer a space for people in their search for personal meaning and understanding within their difficult life experiences. This often includes life-choices/ transitions, spirituality, women's issues across the lifespan, bereavement, and finding your path in life. I also work with the lived experiences of high-achieving women, perfectionism, the voice of the inner critic, low self-esteem / relationship with self, and challenges often faced by university students and young adults. I also have experience working with the challenges commonly faced by performing musicians and artistic-creative people.
Feeling lost, afraid and doubtful in the face of life's challenges can be a lonely and sometimes dark place to be. Through counselling, we can return the search for meaning inwards, rather than looking desperately for the "right answer" "out there". I can offer you connection with a trusted listener, and the opportunity to embrace the uncertainty of life by reconnecting with, trusting, and embracing yourself.
Through help and connection with a trusted listener, we can learn to embrace the uncertainty of life by reconnecting with, trusting, and embracing ourselves.
'In times of great darkness, there can be the opportunity to reveal the most light'.
Practice description
I am a qualified counselling therapist working with adults who are seeking help for a range of difficulties, or simply seeking to know themselves better. The foundation of my work is relational, based on the belief that it when a listening relationship of understanding, non-judgement, and authenticity is offered and built, personal change, growth, self-awareness and healing can happen.
Having trained as an integrative relational counsellor, I incorporate various modalities and theories into my work, depending on your individual needs, personality, and circumstances. In addition to being a trained counsellor, I have also worked as a secondary school teacher, with university students, in international youth travel, in the performing arts, social services, and in disability support services.
Noticing and being curious about our experiences of the counselling relationship within the room can also increase our awareness of issues or patterns that might exist in relationships elsewhere in your life.
I offer sessions in-person with adults over the age of 18. I have experience working with clients with a range of issues, and believe in the power of the counselling relationship to bring about therapeutic change.
I offer a calm, compassionate and confidential space for you to explore whatever is on your mind. I am curious to learn from you as we explore together the circumstances and experiences that have lead you to start life's work of coming to know ourselves better.
My first session
After getting in touch with me via email, we can start with a 20-30 minute, free-of-charge introductory Phone / Zoom call to discuss what you are seeking help with in therapy, expectations for therapy, practicalities such as fees, numbers of sessions, and the counselling contract, and to see how you feel about us working together. I can also provide you with a copy of the counselling contract to look over and sign before our first session together. If you would like to go ahead with therapy, we would then arrange our first 50 minute session for a time that works for you.
