About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Ceri, a dedicated and empathetic person-centred counsellor committed to fostering healing and personal growth. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to the highest professional standards, ensuring that you receive quality care in a safe and confidential environment.

Alongside seeing private clients, I am currently working with a cancer charity in an NHS setting, speaking to clients with a current or previous diagnosis of cancer and their family members (including bereaved), as well as working with a housing charity, with people who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness.

I believe counselling is for everyone and my journey as a counsellor has equipped me with a wealth of experience in supporting individuals facing a diverse range of challenges. I specialise in helping those grappling with life-limiting illnesses, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, suicidal ideation, self-harm, gender and sexual identity, boundary setting, caring duties, family situations, health anxiety, cancer diagnosis, low self-esteem, grief and bereavement, loss, workplace stress, and general dissatisfaction with life.

Practice description

I believe in empowering individuals to take control of their experiences. Your well-being is at the heart of our collaborative journey. My person-centred approach ensures that you are the driving force behind your therapeutic process, fostering a sense of autonomy and self-discovery.

I provide a non-judgmental and supportive haven where you can share your thoughts and emotions openly. Together, we will work towards understanding, growth, and healing. Whether you're navigating a difficult life transition or feeling stuck in life, seeking clarity on your identity, or coping with mental or physical health challenges, I will effectively guide you with compassion and expertise.

I am passionate about giving you space to be heard and understood as well as room to process and understand any aspect that is troubling you.

My first session

I believe it’s important to find someone to talk to that you are comfortable with. I therefore offer a free session online or over the phone, to meet each other and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. This is not a commitment to start therapy with me, but it can be helpful to calm any anxieties about therapy and to think about whether we would work well together.
