About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Beth and I'm a Integrative Counsellor and Psychodynamic Therapist which in real-world terms means I am trained in several different psychodynamic approaches to understanding and working with the mind-body connection and attuned to ways in which we are affected by our experiences and outer environment and how this can be is influencing how we are relate and respond to ourselves, are experiencing our life events and responding to them.

Alongside this I am have been a qualified and experienced Yoga and somatics teacher and Lecturer in Yoga philosophy for the last 20+ yrs. During that time, I have helped to co create bespoke practices that support clients in developing practices that support and enhance their physical and mental wellbeing and the knowledge and confidence to work with their nervous system.

This includes the psychosomatic relationship between the mind and body, illness, recurring injury, fertility, libido, autoimmune disorders, grief, loneliness,  anxiety, depression and insomnia.

I offer my clients an experience of a non-judgemental, compassionate, nurturing, confidential and professional therapeutic relational space where there are opportunities to be heard, receive support, space and the time to explore their relationship with themselves, others and the impact and influence of their events of their life to date on their current life experience and approach.

It is within the safety, presence, compassion, respect and confidentiality of the relationship between therapist and client that one can begin to find ways to address what may feel overwhelming to engage with alone and begin to uncover or develop a way of relating to themselves and the events of their life with honesty, compassion, respect, acceptance, non-judgement , presence and confidence
