About me and my therapy practice

I am a Transactional Analysis psychotherapist in advanced clinical training and currently offer 1:1 therapy for anyone over the age of 18. Each session lasts 60 minutes and can be face to face or remote via Zoom. I work from a quiet location near to the centre of York which has car parking available.

For in person sessions, I also offer outdoor or walk and talk therapy. There are several routes near the clinic should you share my love of nature and its healing properties, or wish to experience the benefits of working side by side in open spaces.

Reaching out for help can sometimes seem difficult and overwhelming but together we can explore the changes you wish to make, in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space.

Practice description

I have worked for almost 15 years with people from all walks of life who have experienced trauma, relationship and attachment difficulties, low confidence and self-esteem, stress, and depression and anxiety.

My work history has included working with substance misuse and addiction both in the community and within the criminal justice system and prisons, and this work has contributed towards me developing a deeply empathic and non-judgemental way of being.

I am a registered member of BACP, and a member of UKATA and continually develop my ideas, practice and theory by attending and participating in a wide range of CPD events. Through working within an NHS partnership, I am trained to Level 3 in Adult and Child Safeguarding as well as Mental Health First Aid, and hold full Professional Liability Insurance.

My professional qualifications include:

Foundation Degree in Drug and Alcohol Counselling University of Leicester.

TA 101 – The TA Training Organisation, Leeds

UKATA Post Graduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis Practice.

Understanding Trauma – The Solihull Approach.
