About me and my therapy practice

I have been a therapist for 24 years and I am a BACP Accredited Therapist and an Accredited Coach. I am passionate about helping people find release from what is causing them difficulty and distress, to become the person they were always intended to be. 

I believe we cannot not solve the difficulties we are experiencing with the same thinking and beliefs that created these experiences.

I help people to stop repeating unhelpful behaviours which originate from trauma imprints from the past or the present. Find healing and build a robust resilience. In this way, the impact of the past stops showing up in everyday life causing; illness, unhappiness, dissatisfaction, fear and distress.

My role is to offer an experience which makes sense to you and gets to the root of the issue to create lasting change.

Providing a safe, supportive and warm space to ‘untangle the threads’ of what is happening for you. So you can find a way through and out the other side. I believe there is always a way we just need to find it!

Practice description

For over 2 decades I have worked with many people who struggled with; trauma and complex childhood trauma, high anxiety, relationship and attachment issues, emotional eating, addiction, postnatal depression, issues around self-worth.

I help clients heal and take back control of their lives. I work with Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic, Attachment approaches and CBT. I combine healing aspects from the psychotherapy world with the most effective tools from the coaching world to offer a uniquely blended and transformative experience for my clients. Furthermore, what I offer is specifically tailored to an individual’s needs, personality and pace. 

When we become conscious of that which has previously been unconscious, we can stop living on 'autopilot', and really get in the driving seat of our own lives and futures.

What I can help with: -

Anxiety: I specialise in supporting people with high levels of anxiety, stress, or performance anxiety, who live feeling fearful or like an ‘imposter’. Many of us can be deeply influenced by our wounds from the past and our fears for the future. 

Depression: I help people who experience feeling down with a low mood, lack of motivation, exhaustion and lack of focus. 

Lack of Self-Worth: I support people struggling with a lack of self-worth who in some way do not feel ‘good enough’. I encourage clients to challenge and up-date their old beliefs, to remove blocks and and dissolve limitations. Then, a person can truly gain self-mastery over their future.

Trauma: I am a childhood trauma specialist by releasing the impact of trauma imprints.

Emotional and Compulsive Eating: Identifying the emotions that the eating is trying to change or numb.  (I am an ex-emotional eater myself who has lost and kept off over 120 pounds.)

Addiction: Is the ‘tip of the iceberg’, it is in going under the surface to build recovery.

Relationship Issues: The 'blueprint' for all our relationships is formed early in our life and we can end up repeating the same dynamic.

My first session

I offer a half hour discovery call on zoom, which is free of charge. During the call we can talk about; what you need and what you want to achieve from therapy, as well as, thinking about how I can best support you in that.

The discovery call is also an opportunity for you to consider if I am the best match for you because that is of the utmost importance.
