About me and my therapy practice

I have over twenty years' full-time experience of providing therapy to adults, teenagers and children. When working with children, I will often offer art and play materials to explore and express feelings and experiences. With teenagers, some are comfortable with talking, while others also like the art and play elements - they relax enough to talk about things, whilst doing something unconnected, like doodling with coloured pens. Parents or carers are, of course, welcome to remain in the session for as long as the child, or teenager, wants them to remain. When I work with adults, as with children, whether short- or long-term, the first session is an opportunity to build a rapport, to develop the beginnings of trust. There will be no change to the way you are feeling (or behaving, if that's the focus), unless there is trust. I promise to work hard to provide you, or your family member, with an excellent service that really makes a difference.
