About me and my therapy practice

With more than 22 years post-qualifying experience covering brief, medium and on-going work I offer my clients a wide breadth of experience and knowledge. I am dedicated to offering the highest level of professional practice and have a genuine compassion and interest in people and the 'human condition' with a natural desire to support and facilitate others to live their lives effectively and resourcefully. During this time I have gained the greatest respect for the individual's capacity and potential for self-determination.

I have extensive experience of working with family and relationship issues. Long term experience working for a University, an FE college as a staff counsellor, also in Primary Care, Social Services and regularly undertake work for several Employee Assistance Programmes.

My working model is primarily psychodynamic, underpinned by an integrative approach drawing on various trainings and experience including psychoanalytic. Additionally, I am a qualified assessor- I will use these skills in my own assessments as well taking into consideration the needs of the individual client.

I am committed to ongoing Continuing Professional Development.
